Alina 'Leeni' Faye This is side one: Flip me over I know I'm not your favorite record The songs you grow to like never stick at first So I'm writing you a chorus, And here is your verse. A girl with dark brown hair was walking in through the library doors, obviously being bored with no place to go. That girl was Alina, and she seemed to always be bored. It wasn't necessarily true, but it wasn't a complete lie. She was normally bored, at least when she wasn't entertained. Her personality was an extremely weird one, and most of the time she would switch between moods. People didn't mess with her, because of this, and they knew that she could most likely make their life a living hell.
Alina then traveled to the seat at the table all the way in the back, leaned her chair against the wall, then began to get comfortable. Then, she remembered that she didn't have a book to read. "God dammit," she muttered, getting up from the comfy position. She skipped over to the bookshelf, and picked out a book of Greek Mythology. Alina then ran swiftly back to her seat, happy to sit again. She cracked a smile as she opened her book.
Flipping through all the pages, she finally decided that it was time to re-read the odyssey. It was the first mythology story that she had read, and for that reason it was one of her favorites. While she was reading, Alina reached slowly into her purse to extract a stick of gum. She was a gum-a-holic, as some would say, and as she stuck the piece in her mouth, she smiled a little at the thought of blowing a bubble as big as her head... again. But, before she could do this, she saw a boy walk in. A very... well, it was hard to say... Let's just say that he had caught her "attention."

In Cain's grip was one of his oldest sketchbooks, all the pages nearly filled with people, cars, animals, landscapes...anything. He hadn't come up with an official signature yet, so most of these had his initials, his whole name, his last name, or even only his first name splattered across the bottom right-hand corner.
Charcoal pencils were gripped in his other hand, sharpened and smooth. Cain came to the library on the rare occasions it was least likely to be busy, for no one except Annabelle knew of his artistic capabilities. Mostly they knew him as The Demon, the hellian and an outsider.
He didn't even glance at the Freshman girl in the library as he walked past her, seizing a chair behind the girl. From her point of view, she could see everything on his paper.
He began sketching a curve, letting it become more defined, heavier as it grew. He realized it was the snout of a horse, and he could see the mustang thrown up, defiant against the actions of the tamer. And so he began to draw, dripping lines from his pencil, drawing the light muscles, connecting him. His bangs fell in his face but he didn't care to sweep them away as he carried on.

Alina 'Leeni' Faye This is side one: Flip me over I know I'm not your favorite record The songs you grow to like never stick at first So I'm writing you a chorus, And here is your verse. Alina saw that the boy was carrying a sketchbook, and also some pencils and other drawing tools. He sat behind her, and she could see everything. His skills were magnificent, brilliant, and any other adjective that could be used as a synonym for amazing. Her mouth was slightly open as she watched him draw what looked like a horse. It was majestic- it was obvious even in the beginning stages.
She looked at the boy's face next- his bangs were hanging down in front of his face, yet he was so concentrated in his work that he didn't bother to push them back. He was handsome, at least in her opinion; he had this boyish-ness to his face, and his eyes were the most beautiful she had ever seen. Alina had to fight back a blink, not wanting to miss a stage of the masterpiece. She finally gave up the battle, however, and blinked, thinking that the boy would disappear. She was happy, though, when she saw his bangs were still hanging low over his face.
Then, the eternal questions began: What grade was he in? She decided that he looked like a sophomore, but was most likely one of the sixteen year olds in the class. Did he have a girlfriend? She guessed that he did not, due to the fact that he was here, in the library, sketching; if he had had a girlfriend he would be sketching her. Then, the most troubling question came up: Whether or not to talk to him.
If she talked to him, then Alina could either seem like a desperate freshman or... Maybe they might have a good conversation. But, even if that did happen, how would she start it? Would she say the usual 'hi' or would she "pretend to fall?" Finally, she decided to say something that was not along the lines of either of those options. "You're a wonderful artist," she stated, a slight smile on her face as she looked at him.- Status: Complete

Cain didn't feel the eyes on him, or his drawing, as he worked. He wasn't generally a paranoid person,a nd got especially absorbed whenever he was drawing.
The mustang he drew was kicking off the saddle, head head high in the air with eyes glowing in defiance. Men's hands reached up to grab to horse but he was, alas, too tall for them. It was bravery and pride that kept the man's hands away. The lines he made were not mono but many, interwoven together, giving the objects shadow, depth, and weight. Charcoal and pen were his favorite materials to draw with.
Cain was so involved in his mustang, he hadn't noticed the girl until she spoke to him. He jumped, twisting around to see the brunette. His eyes were wide; surprised from seeing someone, especially someone seeing him. It took a second for him to register her words, but he got them eventually. "O-oh," He stuttered, astonished anyone complimented him on his artwork. Usually, it was just Annabelle; no one else knew him in his artistic way. Composing himself, he raised an eyebrow at the girl. "Thanks?" He posed the word more as a question than a word of gratitude.

She fought the urge to smile as he stuttered a reply. She did smile, however, when he said the word thanks as if he were asking a question, not actually saying thank you. "Well, it is amazing. I could never draw something like that; I'm more of a writer, or any actress," Alina said, smiling at him with just a hint of blush on her face; it wasn't enough to be noticed, but just enough to tint her face pink.
She thought it was kind of funny how he tried to compose himself afterwords, with his raised eyebrow and all. Probably attempting to regain his badass composure. Alina placed a stray hair behind her ear, smiling at him once more. She never knew exactly what to say-most likely he was bored to death with her at the moment; maybe she should just leave him alone... She shook that thought out of her head quickly, and then asked the first thing that came to her head. "What's your name?" she asked, placing her book down.- Status: Complete

Cain surveyed the brown haired girl, a disbelieving scowl on his face. He wondered why girls put up with being pushed around so much. Maybe they liked it. Maybe it was a psychological thing. Maybe it wasn't their fault.
"Everyone does something, "Said Cain, his blase state taking over once more. Over his shoulder, he looked back at his drawing. Scanning it with a critical eye, he turned the sketchbook over, hiding the drawing. Helene
Cain didn't pay attention to things like lively, blushing pink cheeks, nor rushed words seeming like they've been thought out hours before. Possibly because he was still in his artistic state, Cain noticed how...nervous this girl acted. She tried not to show it, to play it cool. The girl seemed to have the genuine, sweet nature of most girls, but Cain knew something was up.
"Mi nombre is Cain. Y tu?" He fell into his usual Spanish at home, but didn't feel the need to correct himself. Annabelle taught him Spanish, the only language she knew fluently, and they switched between that and English at home.
Cain switched positions in his chair, sitting so his legs were on either side of the seat, and his front side on the back of the chair. "So," He began, cigarette lighter pressing on the curve of his thigh, "Is it poetry or stories?" Cain asked, dramming his finger on the top of the chair.
(((OOC: Sorry this post is kinda random. He said, "My name is Cain, and yours?"xD)))

Alina smirked, finding it funny that he found the need to actually hide his drawing from her. Why did guys do that sometimes? She, however, decided that it was best not to say anything about this, and just ignore it. She didn't want to piss him off, or anything.
"Mi nombre es Alina," she stated, pushing some of her hair behind her ear once more. "But, my spanish teacher used to call me Elena Maria," she said, noticing that he had responded in spanish... Well, mostly spanish. Good thing she had taken that course.
Then, she felt her heart jump as he turned around, giving her a full view of his face. "Both, but poetry seems to be more... well, I don't know... It just comes to me," Alina said, smiling slightly, while shrugging. This was a very interesting conversation, and she was glad that she had uttered the first word.- Status: Complete

Cain smirked, gazing into the eyes that melted from iris into pupil. "So you took Spanish. Congrats. And I thought you were just one of those stupidly nice girls..." He mused, shaking his blond bangs out of his boyishly distinguished face. "Never had a Spanish teacher, nor one of those Spanish names. Need to assimilate into the culture.....yeah, right." His hand reached down into his pocket, where he began to fish out his lighter.
"Poetry doesn't come to me, nor do stories, as much as images do. They get stuck in my head, and they drive me batshit 'til I draw them out." Cain didn't have a problem sharing this to Alina. He tried something new everyday. Maybe saying something about his obsession (besides, of course, cars and motorcycles) would be a...good thing.

Alina 'Leeni' Faye This is side one: Flip me over I know I'm not your favorite record The songs you grow to like never stick at first So I'm writing you a chorus, And here is your verse. Alina laughed a little at this statement. "Well, I'm glad that I proved you wrong, then?" she said, making it more like a sarcastic question- you know, one of those ones that you did when you were laughing at it? With that half-laugh-filled voice, and all. It seemed like a flashback back to Middle School, back when everything was awkward.
"I attempted to sketch once... back in the sixth grade. It never worked out," she said, smiling a little, a hint of sarcasm in her voice. "Poetry does that to me, too. Thats why I carry a notebook everywhere. If not, then I get extremely irritable. People don't exactly like being around me when I'm irritable," Alina continued, emphasizing the word 'like.'
Cain was fun to talk to; he was very entertaining and seemed to be interested in having an actual conversation, unlike the other airheads that she normally met. He had no problem with saying what was on his mind, and Alina thought that that was extremely... appealing. She did always like the badasses.- Status: Complete

Cain's eyebrow furrowed, and he smirked at her, lips quirking into something like a smile. "I do not pass judgement yet. You still have a grand opportunity to fuck up." He muttered darkly. He took a moment to glance over at his sketchbook before returning his gaze to Alina. "Everyone has something they can do," He told her, shrugging.
Cain continued to analyze the girl. She seemed open about everything, a good girl who's afraid of the dark. He wondered about her family, and wondered just how broken she was compared to everyone else.

Alina 'Leeni' Faye This is side one: Flip me over I know I'm not your favorite record The songs you grow to like never stick at first So I'm writing you a chorus, And here is your verse. Alina smiled a little, a little glad that Cain had smiled. He seemed like the type that didn't exactly smile often. "Well, I'm hoping that I don't fuck up, but you never know," she said, raising one eyebrow at him. "And, yes, you already said that," she said in a teasing fashion, the corners of her lips moving upward.
"By the way, you can still fuck things up, too," Alina stated, a smug look on her face. "I mean, you lead on to be some badass artist, but maybe you're just a big teddy bear!" She laughed a little, doubting that that was true. He seemed like the type of guy that was bad ass, but maybe be was sweet. Most likely not innocent.
Alina was hoping that she didn't come across to him as "innocent" or "daddy's little girl." That wasn't her, not at all. If it was, then she didn't know it. She was always sassing off, never going to her parents for anything. Yeah, she didn't smoke or do drugs, but she was a party girl. The only so-called "innocence" she had was that... Well, she hadn't "popped her cherry" yet. She nearly shuddered as she thought of that phrase, gagging at the perverted-ness of that sentence. She sounded like the boys in her 8th grade class. But, in comparison, she could be considered the complete opposite of the boy sitting across from her. To the blind eye, at least.- Status: Complete

Cain raised a questioning eyebrow. "And the goody-two-shoes says 'fuck'. I have to say, I might just let myself be seen with you." He smirked, but rolled his eyes as she pointed out he'd spoken in repetition. "Sue me. I don't sleep." And he didn't. Not for the last two days, anyway. It was like the beginning of insomnia, yet he had no idea why he couldn't just sleep. When he closed his eyes, it was the same as opening him. He could get no rest, no respite from this constant conscious state.
Then again, as he thought about it, this was a pretty pathetic excuse. He looked to Alina with tired eyes. "I'm usually like this, but my tongue is sharper today. Sorry." Cain mumbled the last word to the brunette. He almost smiled, but his face remained in a frozen state of disbelief. "Teddy bear? That's funny." He said, remembering the little scuffle he'd had with a shape shifter a few days before. His rib still hurt from being broken.
Cain slid his hand down tot his left pocket, where he kept his lighter. reaching into the faded black, ripped, slightly tight jeans, he pulled out a shiny Zippo lighter, with an onyx clover decorating the side. He doubted Alina smoked, but it wasn't going to stop him from his favorite addiction. Reaching into the side pocket of his jean jacket, he pulled out a pack of Marlboro cigarettes. He smoked in school. His opinion on the matter; so, what? Pulling a cigarette expertly into this mouth, he put the pack away before lighting the death stick with his clover Zippo. His foamy sea blue green eyes went to scan Alina's face as he got it lit, putting the lighter away.
Cain blew a puff of smoke off to the side, being his politest, considering him and Alina were sitting face to face, only a few inches from each other. "So. You got family?" He asked, wondering how normal this girl was. If she was normal, that is.

Alina smirked. "Who said I'm a goody-two-shoes?" she asked sarcastically, pushing some hair behind her ear once more. "And, you have know idea. I say 'fuck' all the time." Then, she cocked her eyebrow up at him and said, "Who said that I want to be seen with you? Damn, you make a lot of assumptions." Then, to show that she was joking, she winked playfully at him, then let a grin form through her lips.
Then, a look of concern formed on the girl's face. "Why don't you sleep?" Alina asked, her eyebrows furrowing. That was certainly unusual, unless you were a vampire, of course. "Oh, I don't mind. It sure makes for a very... interestingly fucked up conversation," she said, emphasizing the word 'fuck.' She smiled, then laughed a little once more. She could tell that Cain had almost smiled- it was obvious. It gave her some sort of pride to know that she had made him smile. She didn't know why, but it did.
Alina watched as Cain pulled out a cigarette, then stuck it into his mouth, lighting it up. Smoking never bothered her, but some people assumed it did. She didn't know where people got that from- she hung around a lot of people who smoked. "Yeah, I have a family. The question is, do I wanna tell you about them?" she asked playfully, grinning once more. - Status: Complete

Cain smirked. This girl sure did have a lot of arrogance and attitude for a human. "Are you saying you wouldn't want to be seen with me?" He crooned to her, a sickening smirk playing on his lips. His face was mere inches away from Alina's. They seemed to have subconsciously drifted together. "Insomnia strikes demons as often as humans. It's a simple case of that, and nothing more," He said, a defensive chill cooling his words.
Cain took another puff on his cigarette, and blew the smoke away from Alina, being polite once more. Well, polite for him, at least. "I don't know. I just wonder about people's families sometimes. Seeing as I don't have one," He shrugged, revealing his heritage to her with a distinct ease. To Cain, Annabelle hardly counted as family.
