Welcome to Haunted High, a place where all magical creatures and humans may gather and learn about one another. There is so much to be gained from putting aside differences and becoming one big family.

Welcome to Haunted High. Humans don't belong but some idiot named Wraith Ziodex decided it would be fun to let them in. Now we have issues. Before Headmistress Ziodex took power it was each species for their own, there was no intermingling. Now though, we got humans dating vampires, werewolves befriending shape-shifters, and half demon half elf spawns. Isn't this great? You can see for yourself by joining our spiraling school.

Okay, well, the site is going through a mild re-vamp. It won't be going into maintenance mode, but things are changing. The skins have been deleted, save for the default which has changed. But fear not, you'll have choices again soon, I hope. The Profile Form has been modified. But you don't need to redo the app, so current members don't have to worry about that. There has been a canon list added, take a look HERE! The sidebar has changed a bit and a music player has been added. More changes are to come, but have a look around. Input can be expressed HERE or by PMing myself HERE or at any of my other accounts listed above.

I wasn't drowning, you idiot! ~Jasper~ « Thread Started on Nov 23, 2008, 4:11pm »
Helena's steady footsteps were silent on the natural ground leading to the Diamond Lake. She had stopped running from Jasper long ago, ever since the fresh air had cleared her acute senses. It now seemed so silly Jasper could have an impact on her once the scent of the air was no longer plagued by the boy. It seemed there was no reason to run from him any longer. And so her pace was slow and meaningful as she walked to the edge of the lake. Looking down, she could see her pale face reflected in the water, lit only by the twilight sky. Water. Lakes. Oceans. Seas. Rivers. The only thing Helena was afraid of for over a century. So what had pushed her to arrive at the only large body of water on campus?
Maybe it was to feel real again. To feel fear an emotion and human once more. Because if Helena had never been a vampire, then she'd be dead by now. It wasn't like she hadn't tried before. But still, nothing seemed to rid her of this doomed existence. And now Jasper had reminded her that no, she couldn't hate humans in peace. She was a parasite who lived off of humans, stupid, pathetic humans.
Anger flashed in her face as she took a swipe at her reflection in the water. This self hatred, and hatred of everything else, was tearing her apart. Suddenly, an idea struck her. Slowly, she stripped out of her clothes under the dying sky, until she was left only in her bra and panties, along with her numerous pieces of jewelry. Helena, in a frenzy, laughed manically. She didn't stop as she backed up and took a running start before, in a flash, jumping into the middle and deepest part of the lake. A splash rebelled against her marble skin as the lake took her under. She sank to near the bottom, having no air in her lungs. Helena closed her eyes to enjoy the first peace she'd had since she thought she was dying. It seemed like no time to her, but for someone watching, it was concerning how long she stayed under water.

Jasper frowned as he searched, looking for the only thing that had plagued his mind. The thing he knew he would never forget. Not for as long as he lived. He walked forward, his steel toed boots clicking against the stone path that lead to the lake. He had no idea why he was driven to the lake. He just knew that he would find her there. As if everything was at the lake.
Diamond Lake. The largest body of water on the school grounds. In the dark night it was pith black, but it seemed to glitter with the smallest diamonds possible in the shallow moonlight. It was beautiful. Jasper thought that is it was possible he could simply sit at the edge and wath the glittering diamonds forever.
It was in the pale moonlight that Jasper saw what he was looking for. He saw the pale woman of his dreams jump into what was sure to be icy cold water. The boy raced to the edge and looked at where she had hit the water. It was almost a minute before Jasper began to undress. Two when he was in nothing but his boxers and in the water up to his waist. When he couldn't go any farther without falling offthe drop off he swam to where she was in the water, sucked in a sharp icy breath, and dove. His eyes were wide as he searhed frantically for the girl. If he wasn't in need for his limited air supply he would have called out her name. Instead he settled with swimming deeper and deeper until he was out of oxygen and his lungs stung with stress.
I'm gonna die, he thought as he continued to swim lower. He heard a faint pop in his ears as his eyes began to drift slowly down and his oxygen starved mind began to slip into unconsiousness. "Helena," he whispered silently. The icy water rushed into his otherwise vacant lungs.

The impact of the icy water against her marble skin was nothing to Helena. There was no difference in the feel of her ivory skin, like granite, and the waters of the lake. She had sunk to the bottom of the lake, her lungs emptied of air. Finally, peace. Peace like no other in her vampire life. The last time she felt like this was the second she gave up in the water, the night she died and was reborn. For one moment, the first and last moment, she felt whole. Until she was doomed into this immortal curse, that is.
Helena pressed her forehead to her knees, eyes closed as she tried to think of anything, anything about Jasper McLean. This curse...the chains which bound her wrapped around her mind. The horrible part was that she didn't hate Jasper for being human. She didn't hate him for smelling so sweet. She hated him because he reminded her of her immortal life of parasitic behavior. Alas, there was no way to get him out of her mind. She repeated every words she'd heard him day in her head, an echo empty of his personality, his distinct nature. And then she heard the real thing.
A thousand stabs, her eyes flew open. Rip apart her soul, her head was up. It was a rasp of a sound he made. She recognized the tone. It was the tone of hopelessness, because they knew they were going to die. Oh yeah, Helena had heard this before. She knew exactly where he was. Why, why would he be out in the lake? What was his problem? Was he insane? But she would save the questions for him later. Now, it was time to find him. What if he was in danger? What if he were to...die?
Helena pushed upward, swimming faster than any other sea animal, to see Jasper, motionless, floating in the water, slowly sinking. On an impulse, she grasped him around his bare body, and continued to swim upward, using all her strength. Not him, Helena repeated in her head, Not Jasper.
Finally, she burst through the surface, and suddenly everything was much sharper, everything much more important than it had been a mere five seconds ago. Helena rushed, kicking with all her might, to the edge of the lake. Jasper's skin felt warm under her arms, but it was growing colder. She hadn't even noticed his scent. It could be that the water had muted it. Though, it seemed to Helena afterward, she was too focused on saving his fragile life to notice it.
Helena laid his unmoving body on the lakeside, and stared him up and down. Evaluating, checking him out...whichever, she tried to remember how to save a drowning person.
Air, they need air, She thought. Trying to remember a movie where she'd seen this done once, she pressed down on his chest, where she thought this CPR thing would work. One, two, three, four, five.... And now, it came to the kiss. The kiss...of life? Helena didn't have time to think of what would happen if she couldn't restrain herself. Slowly, she bent down, positioning herself. The moment was an eternity, and once their lips touched, it was sweeter than any blood. Just the taste of his flesh, oh, and how beautiful he was...Helena began to kiss him softly. His lips remained motionless, and in an instant, Helena stopped herself. What the hell was she doing? She had a job to do! Taking a deep breath, she bent down once again, this time administering the breath in her dead lungs into Jasper.
Restraining herself, again she pulled up, pushing down on his chest, trying to revive him. Nothing in her life seemed as important, nor as passionate, as this moment.

"Hey, Grams," Jasper whispered in a light headed voice to the dark haired old woman before him. "Aren't you dead?" he asked. "Yeah, I was thirteen when you died. Went to the funeral and everything." His voice was distant and strained as he looked to the nodding woman. "So, I'm dead too. I died, right? Not breathing. You're here." He looked around the dark room. It was stone, cold, and darker than anything he could remember. "I thought it would be brighter. Ya, know?" he whispered trying to remember something, anything about how he died. "I was trying to save her." Before the words were out he felt himself get pulled back slightly every few seconds. "I tried to save. . ."
"Helena," Jasper whispered as his eyes shot open and he turned toward the marble woman. He coughed violently spilling water from his mouth and nose. "Helena," he gasped again coughing violently still. He rolled over onto his back trying to catch his breath. He looked up at the starless night. I'm alive? he whispered. How can I be alive, I drowned. The boy sat up quickly but just as quickly was on his back again his head spinning.
"How am I alive?" he gasped catching his breath eventually. "I should be dead." He looked at his savior and frowned. "Isn't the guy supposed to save the girl?" he asked with a crooked smile. He knew he was in for it. The girl would probably kill him herself now. He closed his eyes and frowned as he leaned back, his breathing shallow but growing stronger with every breath.

Helena watched Jasper, eyes wide with fear. She'd tried to save him. The one person she felt the irrational need to have and keep forever; was dying before her eyes. Helena has heard love was nonsense, that it changed people. But how could she love someone she barely knew so strongly? Seeing him, his body lifeless in the water, had given her such a strong urge to protect him. Though the saddest, most ridiculous part was that she was saving him from herself.
Helena gasper as Jasper uttered her name. She watched him with golden eyes, scrutinizing every minute movement. She was surprised by the immense amount of water which expelled itself from the boy's body. "Stop asking stupid fucking questions, fuck bag." She snapped, watching him switch from sitting to laying positions, indecisive. His scent perfumed the air, and as it reached her nostrils, it took all her strength to ignore it.
"You...are...insane!" Helena panted, fighting the scent of his blood. "What the hell do you think you are? Me? For fuck's sake, you stupid human! You can't wade out into the middle of the fucking lake and pretend you don't need to breathe!" Her shouts were broken as she struggled to control herself. The scent drove her insane.
She sat in front of Jasper, her expression both pained and frozen in a state of disbelief. Her small frame was mostly revealed, ivory skin smooth despite the chilly weather. What few clothes she had on were soaked. Her glare traveled over Jasper's dripping half-naked body, and she gulped. Hey, she may be a vampire, but she was still a woman.
"God damn you, Jasper," Helena choked out in a whisper, trying to keep herself from biting him. Damn him for this love, this completely ridiculous feeling which Helena felt. And damn him also for smelling so wonder, for being so beautiful, more luscious than any other.
Helena, for once, felt like doing something more than simply draining him. She hungered instead for the taste of his lips, and not the blood which pumped through him. Slowly, her pale eyes connected to Jasper's hazel orbs. Helena leaned in, a mere millimeter from his full lips. For the first time sine they met, Helena tried to read Jasper's thoughts.
She closed her eyes in concentration, and....and...there was nothing. Jasper...he... Helena thought, but couldn't form the words "soul mate" in her mind. Instead, she froze, her pale lips parted slightly in this shocking Revelation. They were only half a second away from Jasper's.

Jasper was frozen in not only cold, but fear. This was it. The end of his 18 year old life. He was doomed. Doomed. Doomed. Doomed. She was going to kill him. And she's hide his body at the bottom of the lake. No one would ever miss him. Everyone would probably be happy he was gone. She was leaning in. Was she going to drain him of his blood and then kill him? Snap his neck, blood loss would be too easy to trace back to her. No, too inconspicuous. She would need to find a way that didn't incriminate her. Probably keep him alive for a few more days. Take his blood while he was asleep, then when he was dead she'd plant him with heroin. Make him out as a druggie. Yeah, that would work. So, he only had a few days. Better make the best of it, he thought to himself nervously.
Suddenly though something in her look changed. It wasn't anger, or annoyance, it was, if there were one word to describe it, surprise. "H-Helena?" Jasper questioned. "Are you o-okay?' The words were out before he could stop them. He didn't need to be a mind reader to see what was in her eyes. Her beautiful pale gold eyes. He didn't need to say it out loud. She didn't either. The barely dressed perfect vampire before him couldn't read him. She was. . . he was her. . . soul-mate. It seemed so definite. So set in stone.
"Helena," whispered Jasper in his soft velvet voice. He didn't feel the need to say anything else. She was so close to him and him to her. He closed his eyes and crashed his lips with her's. His hands slowly grabbed her hips. He didn't want her pulling away. She knew it as much as him; they were meant to be together.

Helena's breath was shallow in Jasper's mouth, it tasting of pills and mouthwash. Her pale eyes remained wide open, her fingers beginning to shake. Weather this was from the Revelation Jasper was her real, honest to god soul mate, or that he was kissing her, she didn't know. It was a moment or two before Helena gave in, her lips moving softly with Jasper's, her fangs expertly tucked away from accidentally slicing open his lip or cheek.
This was her first real kiss. Helena used any means necessary to feed, and this included seduction. She would always suck before she fucked, though. She didn't want to end up with any mutant half vampire children. But this...this was so different. Even if she hungered for Jasper's blood more than he hungered for any other, in this universe or the next, she was not thinking of her next meal as she kissed him. How could she, though? His lips were so sweet, making butterflies erupt inside of her like an explosion. The feeling of his warm hands around her hips made it feel like there was a nuclear blast of butterflies going on in her torso.
Her eyes slowly drifted closed, and her hands stopped shaking. The scent of his blood was hidden, cataloged in the back of her mind, saved for later. Now was not the time, for his lips were too preoccupying.
Her hands traveled up to his face, holding his jawline in her grasp. Using the least amount of strength as possible, she pried him from her. Staring into his eyes, she allowed herself the smallest of smiles. "Jasper...you know I could kill you right now, right?" She asked, but it was only a question to cover for three words she dared not speak.
Helena's hands caressed his hair and gently, looking into his eyes. "But there's no way in hell I would ever take you from this Earth. Not now." She whispered, and felt a lump rise in her throat.

Jasper frowned ever so slightly when she yelled. He definetly knew he was in for it. He might as well start digging the hole for his grave he was toast. "Guess I am kinda insane," he said restraining himself from adding, "for you," at the end of the sentence. As Helena sat there before him Jasper's eyes moved over her small body. Her skin seemed to glow in the moonlight, the paleness was captivating, her panties and bra, they were soaked and he could practically see through them.
The thoughts that flashed in his mind made him blush again. He still didn't know if the vampire before him could read him. If she could, the fantasies were once he'd gladly die for. The two of them naked by the lake, her moaning his name as he pleasured her. The human shivered in need at the thought. He'd never thought of anyone like that, what was it about the woman that made him that way?
Jasper looked into Helena's golden eyes as she leaned in closer to him. It took all of his strength not to simply kiss her and make his previous thoughts come true. But after her shoked looked Jasper froze in nervousness. "You can't read me. Can you?" he asked even though he knew the answer. He couldn't help but smirk in the slightest sense as he leaned toward her and quickly clashed their lips together.
Helena's pale lips tasted so unimaginably sweet to Jasper. Lucky is an understatement for how I feel, he thought as his lips worked against Helena's. The sudden need that erupted in his system was nearly uncontrollable as he moved one hand to hold her head and the other went to her waist.

Helena rolled her eyes at Jasper's question. Leave it to her to slaughter the tension of the moment. "Fuck me, do I even have to answer that question?" She asked, a nervous laugh escaping from her lips. But soon Helena could say no more, for her mouth was enclosed in Jasper's, and their lips began to eagerly work with each other.
Her stomach sucking in, a gasp unheard, she tried to separate her feelings. There were two desires plaguing her. The first was the unquenchable thirst for Jasper's blood. Not the strongest, but the hardest repressed of her desires. The second also hungered for Jasper, but in a different way. Her pelvis throbbed and if she could blush, she would, when Jasper's hand went to her waist. She wanted him to touch her, to know every curve and structure of her body....and she wanted to do the same to him.
One emotion she couldn't find words for, however, was really the most powerful of all she felt. It made her eyes water with tears and her lips part in a smile simultaneously, a feeling like fire and ice manifesting within her stomach, heart, and mind, traveling her veins and burning every last capillary. This hurt, this utopia, was so strong she could barely breathe. Words hardly could be placed upon this emotion, but she supposed she could name it....love.
Following her desires, Helena's hands slipped to Jasper's chest, pushing him down upon the soft earth. Her icy fingertips curved their way around each muscle, each new and painfully lovely feature, in a slow and seductive fashion. She split her legs on either side of Jasper's waist, clenching her toes. Helena finally came up for air, leaving the kiss, breathing heavily.
"Jazz," Helena panted, her gold orbs seeing far into Jasper's hazel eyes, "I..." Helena gulped before finishing her sentence, "I think I'm in love with you." She stared stripped, naked, raped of all hostility, almost childish in her demeanor. Her mind skyrocketed in outcry, intent on making herself as strong and unseceptable as possible, but she couldn't deny the truth. Helena loved Jasper.
